Woof's Frequently Asked Questions

What is dog daycare?
Dog daycare is just that, care for your dog all day. At Woof’s we call it DayPlay, because the dogs play together in a fully supervised environment, learning social skills and getting valuable exercise. DayPlay is mutually beneficial for owner and dog, as the dogs go home ready to relax, and the busy owner does not feel as though they have neglected their dog’s daily exercise needs.

Do you walk the dogs?
No. There is no need. Every dog plays all day long inside and outside. We have more than 8,000 square fee of indoor and outdoor play area to accomodate even the most active dogs.

How does Woof’s compare to a traditional kennel?
A typical dog boarding kennel keeps their animals in crates the majority of the day only to be let out for breaks two or three times per day. Our dogs socialize and interact all day long, satisfying their need for attention and giving them valuable exercise. This interaction with dogs and humans alike creates a place where dogs love to be.

What am I getting for my money?
You are getting peace of mind. Our most important goal is safety for the dogs. We take pride in providing a safe, clean, and friendly environment for all of our dogs. We provide webcams so you may check on your dog during the day, and check that our staff is providing the best care for your dog. Your dog gets exercise, love, friends, and fresh air.

Do you have a discount for multiple dogs?
Yes, for our NightStay service, we offer a 10% discount for more than 1 related dog staying overnight with us. Additionally, we offer a 20% off your total for each additional related pet that shares a room overnight.

What is your "interview process"?
During your "meet & greet" we will introduce your dog individually to a dog that is comfortable with our environment and is very friendly with other dogs. If the interaction is successful, we will move your dog to one of the play areas most appropriate based upon size, temperament, and activity level. If the dog is comfortable and interacts well with the other dogs, they will become a WoofPack member and be welcome back anytime.

Do you offer boarding?
Our NightStay is designed for your dog’s comfort away from home. Our Suites are designed for a quiet, secure, and comfortable experience, while our Penthouses offer additional amenities.

What should we bring?
We want your dog to be as happy and comfortable as possible. Feel free to bring dog pillows, favorite chew toys, blankets, etc… We recommend you also bring their own dog food, placed in zip baggies, in order to avoid upsetting their stomachs from a change in dog food.

Should I feed my dog before dropping them off?
In order to avoid bloat we recommend you feed your dog 1.5 hours before bringing them to DayPlay. If this is not possible please inform us so we may rest the dog when they arrive in order to avoid bloat. We will also feed the dog later in the day if you wish.

Are tours available?
We suggest you always inspect any facility you are considering caring for your dog. Be suspicious of any place that does not allow tours. Consider the cleanliness of the facility and how it smells. Are the dogs happy and healthy looking? Are there cameras? Cameras are not only a good way to check on your dog but also observe the care being provided by the handlers. We allow tours of our complete facility. Please call or come by anytime for a walk through.

What are the requirements for my dog?
Dogs must be current on vaccinations including rabies, DHPP, bordatella (every 6 months) and be on a flea and tick treatment. Dogs over 6 months of age must be spayed or neutered. For the safety of the dog a quick release collar with identification tags is recommended. We stock some available for purchase if you don’t already have one.

Do you allow pitbulls?
They are highly active and very social animals; however their personalities are not a good fit for our DayPlay or NightStay.  Woof’s Play and Stay prohibits keeping Pit Bulls of any nature. Our facility is unfortunately not equipped to keep your pet, as well as our other guests, safe and happy. A pit bull is defined as any dog that is an American Pit Bull Terrier, an American Staffordshire terrier, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier, or any dog displaying the majority of physical traits of any one or more of these breeds.
